The local speed limit is restricted to 50 km/h in built-up commercial and residential areas and rises to 60-80 km/h on nearby arterial roads. If you're travelling on local highways between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, the speed limit is 100 km/h. An International Driving Permit is not a stand-alone document and this must be carried with your valid domestic driving licence for it to be valid.

When you return your rental car to Avis, you must do so with a full tank of fuel. We also ask that you remove all your personal belongings from the vehicle. Finally, please return the car to us in a clean state, ready for the next customer to drive.
There are select Avis locations that allow returns outside of business hours. Please contact the return location directly or contact the Avis Reservations team to check if this is possible on 136 333.
If you return the vehicle before the original return date (early return), you will not be refunded any portion of your payment. This does not detract from your rights as a consumer under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Australian Consumer Law.
